En ESCplus estamos atentos de los últimos movimientos de nuestros artistas eurovisivos. La última revelación musical viene dada por el cantante neerlandés Duncan Laurence, el cual ha publicado “Love Don’t Hate It“, su primer sencillo tras su victoria en Eurovisión 2019. Duncan mantiene su esencia intimista en una canción que aborda la libertad del amor en todas sus facetas, independientemente del género, sexo u cualquier diferencia cultural. De esta misma manera lanza un mensaje de tolerancia y respeto hacia cualquier represión social y aboga por la libertad de expresión y sentimiento.El tema es un medio tempo pop que se aleja de la gran melancolía de “Arcade” y lanza un mensaje idílico y humanista al amor.

Duncan Laurence fue seleccionado de manera interna para representar a los Países Bajos en el festival de Eurovisión de 2019. Gracias a la gran emotividad de su balada “Arcade” consiguió sumar 498 puntos que le otorgaron el triunfo en el certamen, siendo la segunda propuesta más votada por el tele-voto y la tercera por el jurado profesional. De esta manera Duncan hizo realidad el sueño de todo un país, el cual obtuvo su quinto triunfo en el certamen después de 44 años y 40 participaciones, desde que en 1975 el grupo Teach-In consiguió el oro con la canción “Ding A Dong“.
